What is a custom affiliate tracking code?
Affiliates may want to track sales that they referred in their own systems, and not only in your installation of Post Affiliate Pro. Super Affiliates often sell hundreds of products, and they need the accessibility to track sales from multiple affiliate programs in one place.
Post Affiliate Pro has an optional feature (Affiliate Sale Tracking Codes), which can be activated by the merchant in the “Features” menu. After you have activated this feature, all of your affiliates will be able to define custom sale tracking codes, which will be inserted into your “thank you” page after the sale referred by the affiliate has been processed. To prevent merchants from inserting unwanted codes, each change or new tracking code has to be approved by the merchant.
How are custom affiliate tracking codes useful?
Custom affiliate tracking codes are more useful for your affiliates than for you, the affiliate program manager. Post Affiliate Pro gives you all the tools you need to stay on top of your marketing campaign. This feature allows affiliates to keep track of their campaign results with you.
